John Abio was born in Columbia, South Carolina in 1961.
He lived in Dallas, Texas from the age of 11 until he was 46. He attended the New Mexico Military Institute high school in Roswell, New Mexico. He then attended Southern Methodist University where he received his BA degree in Political Science. From 1986 to1988, he had a career in insurance.
He worked for NASE, National Association of The Self Employed, and was the NASE State Manager for South Carolina and the Health Insurance Sales Manager.
From 1988 to 1998, he was the Vice President of Southern Security Life Insurance Company in Orlando, Florida. Then, in 1998 he became the President and CEO of Abio Financial Group where he stayed until 2017. During that time, he had become active in 14 states and had over 2000 agents for his insurance and investment company.
As of 2018, he is currently the President and CEO of Miracle Med, Inc. His non active businesses include Abio Oil And Gas Inc., Abio Realestate Inc. (President, CEO), Seboli2b LLC (President, CEO), and Meridian Financial Inc. (President, CEO). In his personal life, he has five children: three daughters and twin boys.
